  • Incredibly disappointed in this office. My husband and I recently moved from TX to FL. Concerned that we would need coverage for the move, we contacted our Allstate in Schertz, TX and spoke to Ashley Head to review our policy. After review, she informed us we would not have full coverage for the entire amount of our plan, but we would be covered for 10% of the value of our current policy while our items were in transit. We were fine with that and felt comfortable keeping the policy until we moved; therefore, we continued paying our premiums. Once our items were delivered, we immediately noticed several items had been damaged. Photos were taken and items were noted with the moving company before they left. This week we contacted Allstate to file the claim for our damaged items. Within 24 hours an adjuster contacted us and stated that we were in fact not covered for the damage to our items. We were sick! Apparently, the items were only covered if there was a fire or flood during transit. We would have purchased an additional policy from Allstate if this information would have been communicated upon our original inquiry. We spoke with this office on two different dates regarding our move and felt comfortable with our decision to keep our current policy. Since all conversations are recorded, we have requested copies of the conversations. We were lead to believe that damage to our goods while in transit would be covered. Now that we are attempting to collect, Allstate is singing a different tune.
